The goal of the picnic is to connect attendees who might otherwise not come into contact and promote inclusion of all. Diversity is often confined to adding "women" and others of "color" or ethnicity to the legal work force. Our goal is to include all in the legal profession especially those that sometimes feel excluded. We also want to familiarize law students and young lawyers with the many areas of legal specialty, in order to help them to determine the best path for their future careers. This year we have partnered with local bar organizations, law firms, judges and groups that represent specialty areas of law.
