Senior Court Analyst II
Office of the State Courts Administrator, Court Improvement, Tallahassee, Florida
*The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary.
This position is responsible for providing statewide support to Florida’s problem-solving courts program within the Office of Court Improvement (OCI). This position conducts financial and performance monitoring of state funded problem-solving courts to help ensure program operations are in accordance with budgetary and policy requirements. Responsibilities include: monitoring monthly invoices, recording and analyzing monthly expenditure data, reviewing program budgets and managing the state program budget, assisting circuits with developing and reviewing contracts, reviewing and analyzing data, organizing meetings and preparing meeting agendas, conducting conference calls, planning and conducting trainings, and providing technical assistance to problem-solving court staff. Other duties include responding to external requests for data and information and providing support on other projects, as needed. This position also provides staff support to Supreme Court committees and advisory groups, with responsibilities including: coordinating workgroup communication and meetings, preparing meeting materials, editing and revising documents, conducting research, taking meeting minutes, and other tasks as necessary. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings with the assigned court operations consultant.
Education and Training Guidelines

Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.Bachelor’s degree in, criminal justice, social work, statistics, the social sciences or a closely related field and four years of related experience, including extensive knowledge of the Florida Courts System.

Uses practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions, measurements, or logarithms; may use algebraic solutions of equations and equalities, deductive geometry, and/or descriptive statistics; may use basic algebra calculating variables and formulas, and/or basic geometry, calculating plane and solid figures.
Reads and interprets advanced professional materials; writes extremely complex reports and papers; speaks to high level professional groups.

Performs work involving the application of logical principles and thinking to solve practical problems within or applying to a unit or division of the organization; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results and frequent exposure to unusual pressure.

Makes decisions with moderately serious impact - affects work unit and may affect other units or citizens.
Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as computers, peripherals, or software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets or custom applications.
Requires some responsibility for safety and health of others and/or for occasional enforcement of the standards of public safety or health.
Ability to communicate in English in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal.
Experience developing and conducting training events, managing statewide budgets and data analysis is preferred.
