Job Description

The purpose and overall responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant II position in the Office of Human Resources are providing administrative support to the Chief of Human Resources and Human Resources Services Manager.  This position is responsible for auditing, analyzing and managing human resources processes, as well as, providing support with human resources services across the State Courts System.  The position serves as the receiving authority for OPS payroll and benefit actions, managing biweekly supplemental payrolls, benefits programs and processes for OPS employees, ensuring policy and rules compliance and performing related administrative functions to include reviewing, preparing and submitting human resource reports.  Position also conducts new employee orientations for Supreme Court and OSCA employees. 

Education and Training Guidelines

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.  

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in business administration, office skills or related field.

Performs coordinating work involving guidelines and rules, with constant problem solving; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results or frequent exposure to unusual pressures.

Impact of Decisions:
Makes decisions with moderate impact - affects only those in immediate work area and may affect other work units.

Equipment Usage:
Handles or uses machines, tools, equipment or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items.
