ISSUE: Judicial Retirement Age

Summary: Modification of a provision in the constitution referencing the mandatory retirement age (70) for justices and judges.

ISSUE: Judicial Term Limits

Summary: Consideration of a provision in the constitution establishing term limits for judicial officers similar to constitutional officers outlined in Article VI (Suffrage and Elections), section 4 (Disqualifications). Currently, they include Florida Representatives, Florida Senators, Florida Lieutenant Governor, any office of the Florida Cabinet, and others.

Summary: Modification of a provision in the constitution referencing the required minimum number of years’ membership in The Florida Bar for all trial judges.
