Adult Post-Adjudicatory Drug Court Expansion Program

Florida's Adult Post-Adjudicatory Drug Court Expansion Program addresses underlying substance use disorders for prison-bound offenders in an effort to reduce crime, and restore lives and families.

In 2009, the Florida Legislature appropriated Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant stimulus funding to the Office of the State Courts Administrator to expand adult post-adjudicatory drug courts to target and divert offenders from prison. When the grant expired on June 30, 2013, the state began funding the program with recurring dollars starting in July 1, 2013.

There are nine expansion drug courts sites in nine counties (Broward, Escambia, Hillsborough, Marion, Okaloosa, Orange, Pinellas, Polk, and Volusia).
