Position Title: Senior Secretary
Office of the State Courts Administrator, Court Education, Tallahassee, Florida
Salary Range :

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide complex clerical/secretarial support. This position is responsible for a variety of office tasks. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; and may sometimes decide how and when to complete tasks.
High school diploma or GED, and two years of experience in office skills, computer operation or a closely related field
Gathers, organizes, analyzes, examines, or evaluates data or information and may prescribe action based on these data or information.
Provides assistance to people to achieve task completion.
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; may compute ratios, rates, and percents.
Composes routine reports and completes job forms; writes compound sentences using standard grammar.
Complexity of Work:
Performs semi-routine work involving set procedures and rules, but with frequent problems; requires normal attention with short periods of concentration for accurate results or occasional exposure to unusual pressure.
Impact of Decisions:
The impact of decisions is moderately serious – affects work unit and may affect others.
Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving some latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as computers, or software programs such as word processing or spreadsheets.
Must have excellent work processing and proofing skills.
Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work on different projects at the same time.
Knowledge of the judicial system or legal profession is desired, but not required.
